Lame video I'm making...

Well... I got bored today and started making a video... I'm the only one working on it, so the camerawork is a bit of a hassle, but it's turning out pretty cool... at this point, I'm just screwing around trying to figure out the video editor software...

I'm diggin it :) good match up with the music..that's always one of my favorite things to do when putting vids together... unfortunately, the few vids I have are like 80mb...so I can never post em..hehe..maybe I'll figure out how to code em in mpeg4...

pretty nice ! :D i like makin vids too.. but i jus download vids, cut em' up and add music, mix match vids.. when i used to be into DBZ, and now doing some break dancin vidz to muzic.. but good vid soo far ;)

hmm... now u need to pull of casually to a side of something, at a stop light, give a rev, look over with the camera (someone who is gonna race) and get that race - anything phat that u can smoke.... bad ass though

I'm not sure where this video is going, I don't have any kind of plot devised yet, but I'll come up with something either cool or funny or whatever.

May not stick with the Tool song, it's just my favorite song right now, so I stuck it in there... who knows.

I'm on every now and again, but ever since I've been unemployed, I'm turning into a total mouse-potatoe, and I'm trying to avoid getting sucked into the chat deal... Just trying to chat in moderation...


Actually, I don't really want help for filming the video... Over the years, I've found that when people help me do things like this, they don't really share the same artistic vision that I have for the project and tend to screw it up hahahah, so I end up doing everything myself anyways. Otherwise I'd have some friends help me... I probably will so I can get freeway scenes from another car or underpass cuts from over-passes... who knows... I need a damn plot.

DOH! I knew I should've done another take... I figured nobody would notice LOL... you should see how many takes I had to do of the seat-belt clicks...

They are Corbeau 3-point Dual Release retractable harnesses... I ordered them from www.soloracer.com and they have kick-ass customer service. I believe they were $79 each, and they bolt right up except for the inner side of the driver-side lap belt, I had to drill a hole in the exhaust tunnel to bolt it in.

It's nice having retractable belts because I can still get at my glove-box or whatever if I need to, but they'll lock up if I get in a wreck or get rolled.

I wish i could up my vid. Me and a friend made a vid about a year ago...LOL we lost the car and the camera but we saved the vid:P....made it up to 100-110km/h....the my friend made a wrong turn and we went offroud:p(i was the cameraman...p.s not my car) fliped over ...and wreckt the car:mad: ...but we got it all on tape:D . At first the camera was fine but then stopt working.....when i get a new cam with a comp uplinke il up the vid.

Well, I edited it out, but when I took off, and appeared to turn the corner, I just made a u-turn and came right back...

I was trying to work something out so that I could drive over the camera at high speed, but my exhaust is too low and would trash the camera.

I'm about to drill a hole in my sunroof wind-guard so I can mount the camera up there and get some good footage... Plus, I think that'd come in handy the next time we have a mee and we're all mobbing around town, I can get some great shots of all the 4th Gens...

one of my buddies who is a film major got some mount off ebay where he mounted the entire camera on the roof of a car and took some good videos when we were wheelin .... I will ask him about it.

Did a bunch more work on the video today... here's a picture of a camera mount I just made out of my old busted-up passenger-side mirror... Camera mounts to the end of the wood stick... Gotta wait till tomorrow to try it out though... I've made several other mounts that just kicked serious ass. you all are going to love the vid when it's done. I shouldda been a film major.

Got the latest version of the flic up on my website today. It's still only about 1/3 complete, really wish I'd picked a shorter song hahaha. I'm hauling ass in just about every shot, especially on the freeway (think I got up to about 105 or so), but some of the clips are artificially sped up, not to make it look like I'm going faster than I actually am, just because it looks cooler that way. I plan on getting a speedo shot of me burying the needle at 125 :D

Still adding to it. I'm going to make it the length of the song which is 6 min, 40 sec. Got some badass footage today, and got big plans for tomorrow too. Plus, I have several missing scenes that need to be inserted in what I've already got.

Once I'm done, if anyone wants to see the high-quality version, I can burn it on CD's and mail them out...
