1992 K1500 Hesitation

Hello. Have a 1992 Silverado truck (350 TBI) that "hesitates" from 1st to 2nd on Auto transmission. ..Sometimes I have to let off throttle for it to "calm down" and shift into 2nd.. Transmission was re-built awhile back (60,000) miles ago..Runs OK otherwise..I can't pinpoint if carb or tranny..Heard things like "throttle position sensor" could be bad..The engine is not original ..replaced 80,000 miles ago...Truck has 274,000 miles now...Thanks for help...
