Apex DVD Error

I have a 2006 Nissan Armada SE. The DVD player has an error message that states "load/eject error", continually ejecting and re-inserting the DVD automatically. I have tried numerous DVD's, and even disconnected the negative battery terminal to reset the system. A movie that was playing without problems was over, and upon insertion of another DVD, it started doing this. Any ideas?? Thanks!
