hello i have a 95 s10 that i would like to lower about 3 inches i dont want to put much money in to it.i was thinking about cutting the springs on the front and using 4 inch blocks for the back.my question is if i want to drop front 3 inches do i measure down 3 inches on the spring and just cut it.and how bad will the ride be.thanks

no. spring travel is less that wheel travel, based on front end geometry, so a 3 inch spring cut will drop the front end by more than 3 inches.

Lowering kits are really cheap on line, about $200-300, and take all the guesswork out. Imo just get a kit.
