hey, whats up everybody, no Im not a VW owner, but I just wanted to see how quick you guys have gotten your cars to be, streetable of course.
I am in the process of fixing up my hatch and just want to know what to look out for when it hits the road.

there was a jetta who went to the track w/ me, an he was running 14.8-15.0 w/ i/e/lsd. it was a vr6 (dunno which tho, im VERY new to vw's) but, those things get up an move down low...jus they do lack top end a bit is all. but from a 40mph roll, they'll keep up VERY nicely.

was it the kid who had a kitted white 4 cylinder and then got a white VR6, I saw the 4 in front of papa murphys all the time, then saw the VR6 in its place all the time

nope, i've run him before tho, an he's pretty quick. this guy im talkin bout has a green one. he's quicker then that white one by far however.

I took my mid 17 second car and have it running high 15's now. Slow considering what is on the road these days, but much better than it was.

I dont' have a run on my new motor yet...but I'd estimate low 15's.
Whoever said the VR6 lacks the top end a bit...slap a fuckin super charger on that bitch....direct bolt on kit and you've gained 150hp.
But I also have a freind with a 1.8t GTi and he's runny 11's @ 387 hp at the wheels.

The GLS's came with 3 engine options: 2.0 8v (115hp), 1.8t (150hp or 180hp 2002-), VR6 (174hp)
The TDI I believe is rated at 105hp.

no the mid 2003 and up TDi's will have 105 hp all others had 95 HP
