CAT Converters (Eastern or ?)

Okay, I stil have P0430 code after I tuned her up, changed all 4 O2 sensors and checked the fuel pressure. The code is still showing that the right bank catalyst is incorrect. I am either about to take it to the dealer (rip off) for $1350 in converter work or order the Y-pipe on-line (Eastern for $400 or Magnaflow for $500). I wanted to know if anyone here has replaced their CATS on a 5.3 2004 flex engine and what CATS did you use or recommend if they did not eliminate the p0430 code?

I had a P0430 bank 2 on my 99 Tahoe 5.7 I install a Magnaflow cat from O Reilly’s Auto Parts $336. The original cat on bank 2 was broke into 2 pieces inside I’m still wondering if it plugged up the mufflers because every now and then I hear noise from the muffler. I did install 2 new upstream O2 sensors just as preventive maintenance. No more P0430

Thanks, I got two Magna flow 99066HM, but was told by a couple of different shops that they cant weld them in. I have to return and buy a Y pipe. I'll install myself with the y pipe.

The system I bought was with all new pipe. It was a complete bolt on sysytem for $336. It bolted to the factory exhaust. Piece of cake to install. Dont fool around with cutting out the old cats and installing new ones your time is worth more than that.

I'm shipping the Mags back today and ordering the Eastern bolt in. Thanks for the advice.

It might be wise to make sure the cat is bad and if bad find out why it went bad.
Many things can give a cat code or make a cat go bad.
What year and how many miles on it?

Bad O2 sensor in bank 2. Replaced all of them, but the damage was done.

Sorry, 2004 Tahoe, 5.3 4x4 with 95k. Flex fuel.
