A lot of library systems have online automotive databases. If the library carries these databases and you live in the service area, you can probably access from your home computer for free. If you live outside the service area, you can buy access, doesn't cost much.

Autozone site carries some automotive repair info, it's free, you have to register your vehicle, year--make--model all that good stuff. Click on vehicle repair guides. You might could order a service manual? Don't know where you can get one for free?
