'97 Concorde, ABS kicking in under light pedal pressure

I went on vacation for a week and the car sat in the drive, unused. When I came back, the ABS started to kick in under light pedal pressure. Car stops fine, and under meduim and heavy pressure the ABS stays quiet.

It is annoying to hear and feel the ABS kicking in and I am concerned just what the problem is... Master Cylinder going out? Needs bleeding? Bad sensor?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Does it happen at any speed or light braking at a slow speed?

It is more noticable at slower speeds, maybe less than 45mph. At 10 mph or less its quite annoying!

I would bet that you have a wheel speed sensor dropping out or an issue with an exciter ring. the exciter rings can and do crack causing the issue you are describing. Some things you can do are carefully inspect the exciter rings for any evidence of cracking or any unusually build up of debris or uniformity. If that checks out a scan tool with ABS data will be your best bet. Monitor the wheel speed sensors while driveing and see which one is dropping out or giving the irregular reading and then focus on that wheel.
