I'm helping a friend with his 1977 Nova

A friend of mine has a 1977 Nova with a 6 cylinder engine not California emissions. There is a piece that is missing that connects the carburetor to the rod that comes from the gas pedal. Does anyone know what the name of that piece is? It is a Rochester single barrel carburetor.
