I have seem to have a problem with putting my car in drive. When I shift in reverse it catches. When I shift into neutral it catches. I can even idle in neutral and shift into park. When I shift into drive however the car oesnt move even when i push the gas pedal. It doesnt cut off or anything. Please help me. I've looked at the transmission and engine fluids and everything is level. I drive a 2000 with a 3.5 engine.

MLPS sensor may need replacement. It's on the driver side of the transmission where the shift linkage is attached. Or the shift linkage may just need to be adjusted.
