2002 Taurus HVAC

Anyone have any idea what would cause the heat in a 2002 Taurus to be on constantly? No matter where the temperature control is set, it always puts out heat.

Does your Taurus have the manual (knob) controls or the electronic controls? Sounds like you have a blend door issue. In both systems this is an electric servo. For the electronic controls (DATC) the control head has some built-in diagnostics.

I agree with Rod. My Taurus had been sitting some time when I got it, the A/C never put out cold. I "exercised" the temp control to ensure the blend door was moving and has been OK ever since.
