have a 98 eclipse, gs 2.0 non turbo.
has no spark.. still.
we have replaced..
coil pack, cam sensor, cranksensor, autoshut down,
plugs wires, bipassed the alarm, battary..
please help. were at a dead end and this car is just sitting.
i have a feeling the cam and crank sensor are not talking to the ecu.
but how do we figure that out? its a cluster f@#$%^&* of wires.
thanks:runaround:

Is the fuel pump priming? Do you have power going to the injectors while cranking? Power to the coil pack while cranking? The power for all of these comes from the ECU and it can cut power to everything if it detects a problem. Have you checked all of your fuses? Could also be the ECU

were getting fuel, the ecu could be the problem but doubt it. i think its the wires but nothing looks torn up or broken. were getting power to the coil but nothin is coming out.. this is the second coil we have tried and theres no way that 2 could be bad especially when one is brand new. im thinking theres wires. but i was told i need a scope to check it out. i think im gonna give up and take it to a shop and lose more money.

The ECU grounds each coil to fire the plugs, unfortunately i dont know of any way you can check to see if the ECU is indeed trying to fire the coils without an oscope. Good luck with your problem.
