A friend of mine told me of a friend of his with a 88-98 Chevy truck for sale. So one day after work we drove by the mans house and I got to see if from the road..I wish we would have stopped but that will have to wait till this weekend...Anyway what I saw was a swb blue k1500 jacked up in the rear do to a bad reared..I was told it has a bad axle but I wont know for sure till I get to talk to the owner.I was also told it has the 350 but I don't know if it is auto or manual.. Body was strait and again I am told so is the interior..Price is to cheap to be true so I know I will have to go look at it ;)

Now for my concern..It is jacked up in the rear and I noticed the top of the bed is closer to the cab then the bottom of the bed.I know this is due to flex in the frame due to the way it is sitting on the jack stands.. Now what I want to know is,is it possible that sitting like this for a year or more could cause the frame to have bent into this shape?? I would hate to buy it and find it stays stuck in this position. I don't think that this can happen but I want some input from you folks...I did not see the axles around and yes I will try to get him to let me take it off the stands to see if it straitens out.I just want to know if it worth my time...

So what do you think??Can leaving a truck on jack stands for over a year cause the frame to bend???

Thanks..........

I don't think the frame knows if it has jack stands under it or tires, I'd look at the rear cab mounts. They can rot and cause the back of the cab to drop.
