I´m about to buy some kits of Porsche 911 Carrera both the Boxter cab version and the regular Carrera version. Now witch is the best buy Tamiya or Revell ? Has anyone built the Revell Carrera or Boxter ? What is the main diffs between Revell n´Tamiya except the quality ?

The Tamiya kit has a lot more detail and is more accurate.

Since when does Revell make a Porsche Carrera? What year is the car?

Revell made the Porsche Carrera -99. Rev.7320 Porsche 911 Carrera -98 and Rev.7343 Porsche 911 Cabriolet (Boxter) -98. These kits is discounted, but they´re still around. What I meant is if anyone has built Revell? Does it has an engine and soforth ?

Nope, the Revell Carrera kits have no engines. I'd get a Cabrio, but for the closed top I'd go for Tamiya (not that it has an engine).

Tamiya no question.

It may not have engine detail, but the quality of the kit is enough to make up for that.

Huuuu??? A Revell kit without engines? First time I heard this, is it Snap-Tite?

If so, go with the Tamiya all the way.

Yeah, I think the same. I have recently bought a Tamiya Porsche 911 Carrera and a GT3 kit and they sure have a good quality. Btw. who is the wim in your avatar? Looks nice!
