there plenty of stuff on this forum search it. but reall youll need
1. pm6 ecu unless converting to obd1
2. mpfi dizzy or other wise for odb1
3. wiring harness
4. injector resistor box or other if you conver to obd1 saturated style
5. intake manifold with all the trimming. fuel rail sensors throttle ect. some dpfi wont work
6. throttle cable from a si or one that has mpfi dx and std civic throttle cables in my experience are do long in the wrong areas
7. a large wiring diagram so you can do pinouts from the ecu and have them go to the right place.
8. may need some hoses ect just depends on if you get piece or have a mpfi donor car laying around.

pm6,pr4,or ps9 ecus (if staying obd0) will run mpfi swaps.

Don't buy an mpfi eng harness as it WILL NOT PLUG INTO A DPFI chassis harness without swapping ENTIRE donor vehicle harness, including cabin-PITA! (mpfi has extra plug on left near strur tower that the dpfi is missing)
Convert ur dpfi to mpfi by adding the extra wiring from ecu/to extra injz + dizzy, there are many many writeups on how to do this, search is ur friend! Simple to do...

dizzy needs to be from an si (code td02u on dizzy) or the crx HF model (td18u) stamped into side of one of the dizzy "legs".

Any d-series mpfi intake (usually preferred from d16a6 = crx si or civic si/civic 4dr ex model also),but injz have to be from OBD0 if not converting to OBD1) I happen to have all of this if wanting to buy...

G'luck!

Ok, first off the easiest way to answer this is to tell him to do a simple search on a MPFI swap how-to, there are a ton out there.

This isn't a complicated swap, and has been done thousands of times. You do not have a Carb, its just the way they look.

You will need:
MPFI ECU, MPFI Distributor, MPFI Intake manifold with goodies, Injector resistor box, MPFI Engine Wire Harness, and a little research.

No need in swapping the throttle cable because the stock one will work just fine. I'm pretty sure I'm still running my stock DPFI cable with my LS engine.

You do need the wire harness, but not to just swap out. Its a donor. There are connectors that you will grab from it, along with the wires. You will have to run 2 new wires for the new injectors, and you will also have to run 2 new wires for the distributor. I also suggest to get a connector(or connectors depending how you run the new wires) to be able to easily disconnect the new additions along with the engine harness.

Do a search for the swap and you will see what all has to be done. If you make it a pain in the ass, it will be a pain in the ass. If you sit down for a minute and understand what your doing, its a very easy swap. I have done it to 2 of my cars now, the first one doesn't look as pretty, but the 2nd time if you didn't know I did it, you wouldn't be able to see the additions.
