Needing Help

I'm going to buy a 2001-2002 pontiac trans am ws6 or camaro ss..Is there a way to tell if I'm getting a true ws6 or ss and not just a hood and badges..I would appreciate any info...sorry new here don't know if i posted right the first time

Research the VIN numbers via the internet. Hopefully that'll tell you what the correct numbers are for a real car and help you identify the fakes.
