Metal Mud flaps

Looking for anyone who has put stainless or aluminum mud flaps on their truck. I am going to fix the rust I have at the rear cab corners from the lack of good deflection from the previous owners mud flaps. The ones on their now I believe are rubber/fiberglass with a blue bowtie. The problem is that the fronts are folding back from driving and rain/snow etc. On solution offered from a friend was to place a piece of aluminum or stainless plate between the truck and flap to keep this from happening. I am not sure how this would look. Any suggestions? Not looking to break the bank either. I have found some I like but I am not sure how they are mounted. They are Deflecta shield 930 series flaps. Thanks in advance.

I purchased 10yrs ago some 1/4in thick very stiff rubber mud flaps front rear..at that time they cost 30.00 a pair///still on truck and they work very good still.

what I also installed was rubber roofing on the inner plastic fedder to extend down this ...it has worked perfectly and now no slop near the engine or brake lines..I used rivets with washers to back it up..keeps the componets clean and rust / corrosion is reduced ..

try a truck performance ,aftermarket custom shop...
