I have two Boss 15" subs.
Power handling: 900W RMS, 1800W Max

what size amp should i buy for them if i want them to bump as hard as possible without blowing them up?

what impedance are the subs and are they single or dual voice coil ?

The biggest thing for getting max bass is getting the subs in the right box

They are dual voice coils. And how do you find out the impendenc?

most of the time they are 4 ohms ...... you need an amp capable of pushing appx 1000 watts RMS at 1 ohm

Hybrids will be the downfall of high end car audio. This is mainly due to the fact that any added system will put a strain on the electrical system that's not designed to carry it.

I know I'm definitely not looking forward to it.

If you think hybrids will kill car audio, wait until we have pure electric cars..... The car audio world will need to get much more efficient if high end is to survive.

maybe not as bad as you think. They may run at much higher voltages, which will mean you will not need the inefficient DC-DC power sections for most amps. Unless you are a basshead and need 1000's of watts, it may actually work in our favor

naaww ... I ain't hatin on him, I was just giving practical advice. 1000 watts RMS at 1 ohm is typically a pretty good break point where you can get a good amount of watts for a good price. An extra 500-1000 watts won't add that much to the overall volume.
