Urgent help needed 03 Pilot door stuck locked

Someone broke into my car by breaking my driver's side window. The door worked fine when I drove it home but when I got home I locked the doors using the remote out of habit. When I tried to unlock the doors, the driver's side door will not unlock. The lock doesn't go up all the way when I use the remote or the key. I read some other posts and took the screws out of the inside of the door handle and pulled the handle out. When I pull on it, I can hear the rods moving so I don't think that is the problem but I really have no idea. I am attempting to remove the screws in the arm rest to try to take the inside of the door off but I am having difficulties and don't know what to do. Is there anything I can do myself or am I pretty much stuck taking it to the dealership? Thanks for your time. Any help you can provide would be GREATLY appreciated!

As far as I remember from my older Hondas, there is a plastic clip that connects two rods that might be broken. If it is, should be an easy repair. ... but of course you need to get the panel opened.

Good luck,

Sam

when we fix these problems, we usually find a broken latch. has nothing to do with the rods.

with that said we always price a door panel before we start so the customer knows a worst case price, usually we have to take the door panel off while the door is closed which isnt good for it, they often break.

so do it yourself or take it to a dealer just understand that something might break.
