I charged my ac in my pickup yesterday and it worked all day but now the compressor won't kick on and the ac light on the in cab display flashes. Is that to tell me my r134 is low? Do I have a leak? What could cause this?

What year pickup?

My 97 is doing that too. Charge it up, and it leaks it out within a week. Last can had dye in it, so I just need to get a UV light to see where its going.

Mine isn't doing the flashing AC light thing, but you can look around on your AC lines for dark oily build up. I even pulled off my grill to check my condensor. All looked good, so I have no clue where mine is going.

I just replace the dyer orifice tube and all the O rings in my 1990 k2500..It all leaked out that day.Turns out one of the valve stem type fitting is leaking..I got the new ones but just haven't had the time to get to it...

What year and auto or reg AC controls?

To check charge give us the low and high side readings at idle and at 2k rpm with compressor jumped and running.

It's a 92. And when I charged it the high and low readings were within the right specs so I know it was charged right

On a 92 you nay need to reset the control head after recharging.

And how exactly do I do that? (sorry for all the questions but wiring/electrical and ac are the two things I hate and dont know much about

Try pulling fuses and installing them.
