Coolant leak

2003 leSabre. It had the recall done where the three bolts were changed holding the throttle body on.
Did a first time oil test and got results that there was a low level of coolant in the oil. I had a mechanic do everything from the lowers up. But my leak was at the throttle body.
The mechanic said there was an updated, thicker gasket for the throttle body that compensates for the warping with heat or age in the intake portion. Slight warpage and mine was seeping there.
I think GM should have done a recall for the throttle body gaskets if that is a known problem.
If I'd known a better gasket was needed, I would have taken off the throttle body and cleaned and replaced it with a new gasket and avoided this for another 50K or so.

Interesting. Do you know if this was an issue on the 02's also? The problem may cover a number of years. Is the new gasket a lot thicker than the old gasket?
