I'm looking for a second car. I looked at a 99 jxi sebring conv 2.5 motor w/123,000 miles yesterday. Other than the radio not working in the FM mode the car was generally in decent shape for the year and mileage. There was some blue smoke at startup which went away. The car had been sitting for a few months. After the engine was warmed up and I drove it for about 5 miles I had the wife rev the motor and I checked for smoke out the tail pipe. There was a little blue smoke when revving the motor. The car ran great, accelerated nicely and the transmission shifted perfectly. All the fluids were new. He used 10W30 oil. I'm concerned about the smoke though. Does anyone know if the smoke is a major or minor problem with this peticular engine. I guess what I am trying to find out is whether or not there is an easy fix for the smoke problem other than a rebuild. Thanks, Ron
