Ok, started the Tamiya Supra kit last week, its up to its final stages, but I stuffed some things up :( I used the normal glue for the lights, so they are not nice, and when applying the side mirrors, the glue got on the body, therefore taking some paint off :( Im going to wait now to get that clear glue, I rushed :( For some reason, the bonnet doesnt shut properly.....I dunno why.At least from far away it looks good hehehe. Well, I bought another kit today the TRD Altezza, from Fujimi, I hope to finish this "cleanly". Any tips? Ill post pics tommorrow, as comp at home doesnt like the digital.

Take your time is the best advice I can give. Always use clear glue for clear parts and apply other types of glue with a toothpick so you dont put too much on by mistake. Any pics of your Supra??

Taking your time is definatly the best way to do things. I haven't made a model in 4-5 years, and so far, my first model back, has taken me 2 months to get 30% of it done :p.

LOL!!! something like this was bound to happen, it's about the learning process! ;) For some of us.

One time I spilled thinner on a newspaper and forgot about it.

After I sprayed my 57 chevy I took it of the stand and laid it on its roof on the thinner soaked newspaper.

Then I went to work on something then and Idea popped in my head, NOOOO!!! not the roof!

Lifted up the chevy and you see red on the newspaper and a messed up hood. :bloated:

Now enough of my blabbering.

Now you have learned to take you time.
BTW don't use super glue near windows either. :D

We all made those mistakes on our fist model, but we didn't have the FAQ!!! :silly2: Shame on you! :apoke: Now go to your room and build another model using what you learned from your mistakes!
