Tempermental Locks

The power locks on my 1996 won't seem to cooperate. They will unlock only about half the time when you hit the switch, other times they just buzz. Is this just solenoid failure? If so, is this a dealer only part? Thanks in advance for the help.

I would check the wires for the switch and also check out the door lock actuator.
