ok i have graduated cartoon drawing school, moving on to real pics... heres my progress so far on a modded sti

and the progres... very weird front lip and i need help on shading it to make it look like in the pic

Thats pretty nice...looks a little skewed tho

ino.. its because i left room for shading, hopefully if i get shading down(tutorial PLLLLLLLLLLSSSS) before this then it will look good

latest - im having trouble with the back end, one little mistake(i put the windshield on the wrong angle) sets off the entire car... anyways here it is pls gimme suggestions

hey, its lookin nice but the left light just is a little bit scribbled at least it seems like it. But it is coming out nicely, hope the final project is tyte. I have yet to try that way of drawing a car yet because I have no time on my hands oh well I guess I'll wait till summer

i fucking quit!!! i hate drawin.. i just dont understand.. looks great under grid, then i erase and try to shade and it looks like ass like WTF?!?! somone pls help me out, im so pissed right now

Dont get mad over a few bad expieriences, dont kill your selfeteem (damn I sound like a therapist) I recently pulled out my old drawings and burst out laughing since they were pretty horrible.

To me it seems like your rushing a bit and its your few first tries. It takes expirience, you can't just get on a skateboard and expect to be Tony Hawk or in this case you cant just pick up a pencil and expect to be Asaenz. It takes loads of practice, take your time, make sure your lines flow with the car. It takes me HOURS to get the car to look decent. before you erease the grid make sure everything looks properly proportional to the picture and the rest of the drawing.

i understand i have to take my time and such.. ino ino and it did look fine but i dont understand how it can look good then i erase the grid and BOOM its shit?

I printed out your drawing,doodled on it and scanned it then saved it on my computer to post it here.

I think it has potential.Keep working on it,you'll get it right;)

the only reason you think it looks like crap is because you might have done something wrong but it is tiny like the left side of the hood is just a bit crooked, make it straight and it'll look fine. Trust me I've tried to do that before a while ago, I got so dam frustrated but you just have to keep on goin

dont worry porkchop, it looks very good to me. my drawings, as you may have seen look almost perfect to most people. But i only see all the mistakes. iv just learned to ignor them and let other people let me know what they think. im sure asaenz makes mistakes too, but just dosent tell us about them;)

Did you see what ghostchild did? See your drawings are actually great, they just need some rough pen lines to sketch around with. I bet if you do what ghostchild did it will look just as good, if not better (no offense ghostchild :) )

Drawing looks great. WHere are the wheels? Or are you not done yet?

hey i just noticed that, when i first saw it i thought you were trying to highjack my thread then i realized that you were trying to really help and i thank you, i did ink it out today in class.. front end looks pretty sick but i fucked up tires, rims and the shadow cuz im not great with shading(all asaenz fault cuz there is no tut:P) so i dont think its post worthy, but thank you..

(btw can you (ghostchild) post some grafitti tuts? i want to do some grafitti in my room and of course its my life but im a newb at that too just like everything else..)

infact im sure you would be very much appreciated if you put up a tut for anything (to everyone) cartoon drawing, rims, shading, anything that you would like to share with us newbs, that would be great

That would be kinda tuff...

You can't really teach anybody how to tag,It's kinda of one of those things that you learn yourself.
I mean you could look at someone else's(SP?) work for inspiration,but...I don't know.

You just have to develop your own style;)

I did graffiti for 2 and a half years,NooB's started to look up to me and my crew but then I just sorta stopped.I'm kinda weak myself now but if I start doing it again I can prolly come back stronger than before.

Also buying spray paint was starting to burn a whole in my pocket.I got the good stuff-KRYLON and RUST-O-LEUM:sun:-$3 a can.

There was onetime when I bought $35 worth of nuthin but paint cans:eek:
