Transporting the D

Its nearing time to bring the D up to Northern Michigan. I have never driven with a car on a trailer. (not sure what I am going to tow it with yet - either a Yukon Denali or U-Haul). Anything I should know about?

Before someone says "drive it". I have to get some work done on it so I don't have it insured or plated for the road. :(

The Denali will be the easiest to control. These vehicles drive like cars, can handle the weight and have nice big mirrors. I have the Denali's Chevy cousin.

With U-Haul you never know if you're getting a new truck, or the 1978 3 speed manual with broken windshield (at least here is Cali).

Easier than it seems... just know EXACTLY where you're going so you aren't backing up a lot & driving in rough downtown areas.

I certainly know the route (been driving back and forth from here to Lansing every weekend for five years) so I'm not concerned about that. I like the sounds of using the Denali too. I would know what I am getting in for as opposed to the u-haul. Dunka
