This time I raced a older GTI with bolt ons. We raced from a roll a couple times. I had a passenger too which never helps. I really need to get something faster, being this slow is tough:(

Well what do you expect rolling around in a 4 cyl??!! install a v6 or something, then you'll smoke them!

are you the same guy who started the thread about getting beat by the corolla also?
anyways, like I said then, MPFI your ride asap, and then start working on the internals like a performance cam and cam gear, if you dont wanna do an engine swap. Also some lightweight rims will help you out, I suggest either the civic vx/hx rims or some rota slips (even though the slips are played out they still serve their purpose of being light quite well)

get some axis lights, 17" are 14lbs or something.
and slap a 50 shot on, and you'll beat em next time.

Your engine has to work extra hard to move weight in the wheel up and down, up and down.
Taking 5 pounds off of your wheel weight will have a bigger effect than taking 200 pounds of the weight of the car's body.
Aluminum is also more stable than steel. Steel flexes. Believe it or not, aluminum has a more rigid molecular structure...which means a little less vibration at ULTRA high speed.
Having lighter wheels will also improve how nimble your car is, how easy it is to turn the wheel-more responsive.
