So I got the typical dash cracking problems. I've found some used dashes, great condition- 500 or so bucks. Great. No prob, except that people want like at least 500 to put it in, and they're not even certified posche mechanics. So i'm thinking, "dash cover". Then I think, "no". To me the dash cover is a little, hmmm, degrading? plus, everyone knows why you've got one...either to prevent cracking or to hide it- Then I ran across those vinly dash covers- they use adhesive and stick to the original. But I'm skeptical. Can someone give me some advice on this? Are they good? Are they bad? Do they look cheap? Thanks.

I put the vinyl dash cover on my 924s my 944 and my 944turbo. These things work great. Its a great buy for $100. Ive been to alot of shows and thought people would ask me about the dash. But noone did. I won best in show twice and never gave away my little secret. I highly suggest you buy one, installed right noone can tell the difference. And you can do it yourself in just an hour or so and walk away. Later, Baker
Ps. If you buy one that isnt cracked, it will quickly if you drive it.
