accelerating (powerbraking)?

accelerating (powerbraking)? is this ok. i heard people talk about holding the brake and reving up. Is this safe to do on a automatic. I want to try this out. Please tell me if it is safe to do and won't damage my car. I have a 95se maxima. And i am only 17. Sweet ass car.

yes ofcourse/....nothing will damage ur car..!!...i do it when i race at the lights.....it gives u a really good headstart....^^...
...just to add to this...(not related)...me and two other friends were racing a 2001 passat 4motion down the street....so damn funny...
...have u seen two maxima and a I30t cut off a passat 3 times in a row?...hhaha...u should of seen his expression.... :D n e ways b safe!

Accelerate with the least braking, just stopping the car, so you can let go at the smallest movement of the pedal. Nothing will happen to your car.
What you shouldnt try is accelerating in neutral and changing to drive, yes you would rocket smoking tires, but also your transmission might be smoking
