Do anything to it I don't care.

Just don't put a gay body kit on it like street racer 1's body kit and try no to paint it blue. :D

Get pics going, you don't want me to put the smilies that say " this thread is useless without pics do you? j/k ;)

Don't hate on Street Racer's "dare to be different" attitude. At least he did'nt pay attention to the critism and just did whatever looked good to him. I think more people should be like that.

Integra, yea, dont paint it blue, Do it Mica Red, with chrome wheels.. Tight!..

PS, Bah Humbug, Im not starting a fight, just my .02 cents.. Please dont take it personally

its gonna be black, with black rims;..

ALSO: HOW DO U glue bumpers on... cause last time i fuked mine up...

can i use Testors "red" glue stuff.. and just put the bumpers on, and smear the glue at the joints..?

Camber
05-11-2003, 05:17 PM
put the testors glue on a tooth pic, and put a LITTLE on the part used to connect them, and put it on

irupp33
05-11-2003, 05:57 PM
id use zap a gap CA, or the liquid testors stuff u brush on. or both ;)

RyanGiorgio

If you mess up with gluing the bumper on, yo can sand away the glue that got on the outside of the body. The primer will cover up the sanding scratches real good too.

The window masks for my skyline are peel offs, not water slide

I dont understand how its possible to have water slides for them, how the hell would you get them off? Perhaps integra doesnt know theyre peel offs?

Integra14
05-14-2003, 08:20 PM
hey, i didn't know they were peal offs.. but annways, once theyre on the windows, after i paint, how do i get them off

bah humbug
05-14-2003, 08:24 PM
That's a tought one. j/k

Take it off with a torch. If the clear plastic is melting that's a good sign.

It means that It's about to come off. There is another method.

You can take it off with a gun or sword, just be careful not to hurt yourself. :bloated:

Or you can always take it off with your hands, maybe fingernail?

I have always found that hands work best. :finger:

bah humbug
05-14-2003, 08:29 PM
I think you've benn inhaling that paint too often, first it was sanding now it's how to take of masking. :p

I mean no offense, its just weird how you can ask that.

I used my first Tamiya made masking on my S2K and did well .

All you have to do is lift it carefully with a fingernail or tooth pick.
Make sure not to scrape off the paint.

Integra14
05-15-2003, 07:48 PM
ya ive been stressed out..
anyways heres the body painted,... no orangpeal, but not that smooth, ig uess il try to compound it out,,, but if not, ill have to sand with 2000Grit

Looks very stealthy. I'd clear it if i were you. You might want to polish it a bit more before you clear it.

bah humbug
05-20-2003, 07:43 PM
It's dull because The paint is shrinking and curing!

Clearing it won't help that orange peel.
Trust me that's orange peel It happens to all my models.

That is what my SAS 350Z looked like.
With a lot of patience and caution it can be taken care of.

With my Z I sanded with 3m 2000 grit being careful not to rub through paint. After the orange peel is gone and whole paintjob looks dull.
I polished it all out with meguiars automotive wax and I recieved a shine.

If your gonna do this make sure you have enough paint on so that you don't rub through it. I put about three wet coats or 2 I forgot.

I'm paranoid of rubbing though paint, better safe than sorry. :uhoh:

And when putting a lot of paint you have to make sure you don't put too much or it will run. :uhoh:

Integra14
05-21-2003, 02:37 PM
theres no orangepeal.. at all.... its just, it looks GRANULAR, no bumps.. its copmletly smooth almost...

anyways... i can sand with 2000 after i clearcoat..

chrismcgee
05-22-2003, 06:33 AM
well i always use tamiya ts colours, and have never needed to polish them before, i always spray a "dust" coat, just enuf to give a thin finnish, leave 5 mins to get tacky, then spray a wet coat on nice and shiny, 30 mins more, another wet coat, 30 mins another wet coat then just keep spraying till its covered and shiny. leave for 2 days or more. the most i ever do is use an "oaklys sunglasses polish cloth" on ot, its so fine but makes a great shine.

Integra14
05-24-2003, 11:55 AM
i guess no clear coat, cause i don't feel like waiting.. heres some pics of JUST THE HOOD COMPOUNDED AND waxed...

it looks bad, but my 2000 grit sand paaper would Destroy it more, if i sanded..
its 3m, and it feels like 800 grit.

Integra14
05-24-2003, 12:49 PM
hellllllllllllllllllllllllllp!

sand or no sand.. ahh im scared to sand..

maybe i should just leave it.. its not that hororible

Vyacheslav
05-24-2003, 01:18 PM

Feint Motion
05-24-2003, 01:35 PM

Integra14
05-24-2003, 05:18 PM
