Jus wondering if anyone can give me any pointers on installing my tsudo coilovers on a 91 hatch. Are there any secrets to cuttin down on the noise? Will I need to grind the shock or mount on the stock setup? Any help would be appreciated!

1. you DO NOT need a spring compressor for hondas.

2. remove the upper strut bolt from the shock tower (front & rear)
3. (rear) remove the lower control arm strut bolt.
3a. push the drum down and pull the strut out, remove the old spring and replace with coilover..installation is reverse of removal

4. (front) remove all brake line clips from the strut and remove the lower strut mounting bolt from the suspension fork.
repeat step 3a.

you are done. good luck.

I WOULD NOT DO THAT IF YOU HAVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE! I have always been told to use a spring compressor! Especially if you don't know what your doing. DDogg I know your not to far away from me if you need help you can drive out here and I can help you out. I was going to attempt to do it without a spring compressor on an accord and it sounded like the Body was cracking from the pressure!

They make spring compressors for a reason. But it's your car and stuff so if you decide to try it good luck.

if i can do it, and your not a total moron, you can change your springs as well without a compressor just be careful when the spring and strut stocks are out and your uncompressing them just be careful do what you got to do point it away from you and use your feet to withstand some of the pressure, i have tsudos as well there alright, good drop, put them all the way down it looks the best, if u want to see pic of how low my car is with them just ask

YOU DONT NEED A SPRING COMPRESSOR FOR CIVICS. i will say it a million and 2 times. I've done about 3 spring/coilover installations. they are not even under enough pressure to spring downwards when you remove the top strut mounting bolt. I belive that at rest, they are pretty much extended all the way.

Do i need to explain the process again for those who doubt me?
