Good idea !!!....and sub-forurm update

Just thought of this last night.....as we have so many that dont know about the FAQ etc etc....Maybe the ones that visit here the most stick it in there sigs. (see my sig)...Good idea :cool:
If a newbie then posts a stupid question i can ban them :devil: :devil:

J/K.....But hopefully it may stop some of the pointless posts we get here also.

Just an update on the sub-forums....we are waiting for our leader Igor to make the sub-forums up but he's gone AWOL for a while :p

Same here. About sub forums, excuse the question but which sub forums were eventually decided on? I haven't been on for awhile so I don't know which are going ahead.

We could give it a test run for a month or so and see how it works. Then we could decide to either move it back, or add more forums, or leave it like that.

That sounds good, the main problem I find with having it all as a single forum is that alot of threads just dissapear really quickly into pages far away. Having around 105000 posts and about 8500 threads I think the model forum is way too busy to have everything in one place.

not exactly you must set it up like you whould a picture, just with url, instead of img

I came up with the AF Car Model Forum Rap. I figured as the less experienced noobs are usually of the younger generation, then a breif rap ditty is likely to appeal to them and get them reading the FAQ where its hip and happening!

I digged all my personal finished threads up through the extended search function and send the links to Ales in a pm. Should save him a lot of searching if we all could do just that. no?

I had to run through 678 posts. search by your own user name and in the modeling section. took me 15 mins to get them ;)
