ok first off i want to know what is a good price for a 7.2 battery and a charger? (canadian) i went to radioshack and the price was $44.00... just wondering if this is ok? and the rc car i have, u put batteries into remote control and 4 AA in the car.. im guessing this is for remote to car signals like turning and such.. but im not sure? does the actual battery controll turning and if so then what r the 4 AA's for in the bottom of car?

thnx

yes the battery control the servos in the car as well as the motor. the battery in the remote just simply controls the radio frequency

What the heck is that, a Radioshack R/C car?
On the regular toy R/C cars, you can't change the frequencies, and on most you can't use a 7.2V pack either....
Toy R/C cars are prone to radio interference too, which is probably what you are experiencing.
If you want something you can change the frequencies in, get a hobby R/C car.....not a toy.

Hey ChopinPorkChop nice car! is that the Golden Arrow? With slick tires?? You'll probably be spending about $40 for a Hobbiko charger and $20 for a decent battery pack from radio shack. 1700 or 2000 mah are good. If you're having intererence you can install a new radio system on your car from Futaba, they're like $50.

radio shack cars thends to use cheap as crystal as their frequency and also the crystal is probably solder onto the circuit board. Chalky substance could be from that heat sink paint that is coming off. Radio shack cars equals worthless rc cars.

I have no clue what the chalky stuff could be. As for the frequencies, there is no way to change that on a car from radioshack to my knoledge. u can use a 7.2v pack with some radioshack cars, and this one looks alot like one that my step cousin has. You can get both chargers and batteries cheap, but if u want to get into this sport seriously, u need to spend good money.
