This is my first model in around 4-5 years, and my first one done with more than 2 colours of paint :D.

What you see here isn't all I've got done, but it's been slow work. I've been working on it since mid-March, and I've made quite a few mistakes along the way (some so bad I had to buy another kit :p). It's coming along beautifully though, and I can't wait to get the thing finished! :)

Any feedback, good or bad, will be taken into consideration ;).

Looks great, did you brush paint, or spray the seats?

Thanks.

Airbrushed the seats, dash and the darker grey on the interior. Suspension and brakes were brush painted.

Well, I don't think somebody CAN actually give any negative feedback on this car, it is just so well-built and looks stupendous !

I deerly wish I had the patience and the skills to do what you did, it almomst seems like a 1/1 car coming fresh from the assembly line!

Gorgeous !

Lol thanks! :)

I'm a self-confessed perfectionist. If something doesn't look right, I'll do it again until it does look right. I'm pretty sure I'll have this finished within the next month, but definatly within 2 months.

What can I say? I'm a slow worker :D.

Just a small update for the moment.

I finished the rear suspension a little while ago and it's looking very nice. Might need another coat of Flat Aluminum though. Hopefully soon I can get started on the engine block and everything that goes with that :).

how were you able to paint the black and the red on the struts ? My technique was to first lay the black and then slowly try to paint the springs. It looks "ok" but nothing great.... wana share you're secret ?

My technique is pretty simple really. I paint the red first, then with very little black paint on the tip of a very fine brush, I just lightly touch the brush on the springs and slowly drag it a few millimetres. It takes a while though, probably close to 20 - 30 minutes to do 1 spring, but the finished product looks pretty nice :). Like everything in this hobby, you just have to take your time.
