What's the difference. Mine's a g20, and it has power leather seats, and all options except fog lights. What does the T do????

the biggest difference is without a doubt the limited-slip differential. It sends torque to the drive wheel with the most traction so that you won't lose control (it improves the control of the car). There is a difference in suspension as well. the "t" (touring) includes many other options as well like the spoiler and fog lights.

So the touring suspension is more aggressive?

A spoiler, I knew there was something else my car was missing besides foglights.... And a turbo, but that will have to wait for a while...

Actually, that's not completely correct, or at least is misleading. It does send torque to the wheel with the most grip, but it requires more explanation that this. Normally the wheel with the most traction would get little to no torque. The limited slip only allows a limited speed differential between the two wheels. This keeps you from losing power from the wheel with traction.

That may or may not be true for the P11 (I cannot confirm this), but it is definitely not true for the P10, despite "common knowledge" to the contrary. I used to believe this as well until some research into the P10 fiche showed that the base and the "t" versions used the same springs.

so there is no different suspension for the p10. Interesting.... Mine rides really smoothly, but seems to stick pretty good going around corners too. Are coilovers good on this car for autocrossing? Anyone autocross their p10????

There is no suspension differences between the p11 g20/g20t models. What differs is LSD, fogs, spoiler, 195/60 tires versus 195/65 on the base model, and sport head restraints. Other than that they are identical.

if you have an AT, you cant even tell the difference if you have a LSD or not. just get better tires and a sus kit. :p

I have, well sorta... I ran it on an autocross course unofficially, wasn't running timed :-( But i did get to run in on the course... it was sweet... with my suspension the car rotates awesome (sometimes almost too awesome :D ) Made the tight sections pretty easy to navigate. I can't wait to get a stb, and a couple other suspension mods (hehe, from my bag of tricks), then maybe i'll be able to be almost competitive (if i can ever learn to drive real well). Sticky tires make a world of difference too.

Well, you see, my problem is I autocross my other car, which is a 87 conquest TSI. Rear-wheel drive, turbo, 200+ hp... So, it's a lot different with this car. I'd just like to take it once to see what it'd do. I'm more used to rear drive. Plus, this car is in a much different class from the one I'm used to being in. I think it would do pretty well, but the stock class it's in is with many cars that are dead-even. Driver input would likely make the difference. Stay tuned, I'll find out before too long...:D
