Well, apparently the header on the SOHC ZC is shorter than the header on the USDM engines, so it didnt fit at all, it wont bolt up correctly to the exhaust cause the lower pipe is too long ... but oh well heres the pics

First, upon popping the hood there was a lizard in my engine bay

that sucks buddy... perhaps a custom exhaust is an order? you might consider keeping the chikara until you can get a custom exhaust welded up... it would be well worth the money... it'd sound and look so good.

What exactly does the header do for my car? Also how much you want for it?

If its for an 88-91 Si, then I might consider buying it from you.

As long as it hasnt been modified, of course.

The only thing mpfi that I have to offer is an engine wire harness from my 1990 si that I parted out last year.

Let me [email protected]

take the hedder to a muffler shop, and have them shorten it, it wouldnt cost too much, and it would be worth the gain, sorry if i cant spell, im pretty drunk

What car did you order it for? I had a 89 Integra DC Sports header and it was like 3'' or more too long like yours is in the picture. However when I used a 88-91 Honda Civic Chikara one it bolted right up (minus I had to dremel down some part that would touch the block.

bump, so we were gonna give it a second try today, but my dads friend who is a pretty good welder said it wasnt really worth it ... so the header is for sale again. I will be contacting all those who pm'ed me.

dude, seriously... why are you going to sell it?!

Don't have your exhaust pipe shortened, but go get the bottom piece of the header shortened! All they have to do is cut out a section and re-weld it, and it would probably be around $20. That way, if you do have a carb inspection, you can still put on your OEM manifold...

its a little more complicated than that ... it doesnt bolt up to the exhaust right, so that would have to be twisted and rewelded, and the mounts under the car dont line up either.

Is this even for ur car?

In my case when we were puting my 4-2-1 header on D16A9(previus engine) the header was to short but that was no problem for us cause the whole exhaust was custom made (stainless steal) so we did a little welding and put in the middle one longer pipe and the header was on with out a problem, that's why I don't see any problem making your exhaust pipe shorter and then moddify the exhaust mounts, in here they would prolly do that in a half hour period and you'd have that header on with out problem....
