I have a 98 Continental that needs the inner tie rods replaced. Does anyone have the repair procedure or has anyone done this before and can help me out. Shop wants $380 which seems way to high for something I was told is not to hard to do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Mark location of jam nut then remove. Screw inner tie from adjusting sleeve. Remove rubber bellows from steering rack, unscrew inner tie rod from rack. Screw on new tie rods, install new bellows and screw tie rod back into adjusting sleeve where it matches mark from old tie rod. Tighten jam nut. Get front alignment.

Don't you need a removal tool?
