What are all the parts that I need to put a turbocharger in my car?

This is too generic a question, and the answer depends on a lot of things, like your goals, and the particulars of your car.

But to give you a list (which will probably not be full) of things that need to be changed or added to your car:

Turbocharger (compressor and turbine), intercooler, injectors, ECU, pistons, of course intake/exhaust totally changed from their respective ends up to the engine block, perhaps the block itself, external wastegate, bov, modified cooling and lubrication systems and quite a few smaller and/or optional thingies.

Yeah, depends on how much boost you plan on running.. I mean I've seen turbo cars w/o intercooler, pretty stupid I think, they run like 5psi boost? LoL

Hey, there's nothing wrong with low boost turbos :) Although you should intercool regardless.

Technically you can turbo any car you can get a manifold made for. On a stock engine not designed for boost you should be able to run around 6-8 psi of boost with an intercooler without much worries, unless it's a really weak engine.

Cheapest way to do it is to get a manifold, either buy one or have one machined, then buy a boost controller, then head for the junkyard!
Get a turbo off an old 80's saab turbo, grab and intercooler while your at it. Next your gonna need the piping, this shouldn't cost you too much. Other than that maybe larger injectors and some new gauges.

Given this won't give you incredible gains, but it's still a nice little power boost.

You don't NEED an intercooler. Fairly low boost engines don't (like the 1.8T or the Mazdaspeed Protege).

And you don't need to change all the internals either. Mazda didn't change a single thing for the Protege.

You don't need one, but considering you can get one for $50 at a junkyard and it'll let you run safer and better, it's kinda dumb not too.

I plan on getting an intercooler. My goal is to have 150Hp without blowing the engine up due to psi. I have a flowmaster muffler and a cone intake. I want to get bigger injectors, but don't know where to start to look for them.

I heard the ford 1.9 block can handle up to 12psi!!! Is this true?

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere the Mazdaspeed Protege does have intercooler, though only a small one.

Sure you can pick up anything from a junkyard.. but I think most ppl would buy their own turbo, either new or fairly new... and considering they spent so much on it, what i'm saying is, it is good idea to invest in intercooler to enable higher boost, instead of wasting the turbo(and maybe even your engine)..

I found a intercooler off a probe at the local junkyard and am going to go get it today after school. :D
