Help with Chrome

Basicly I need to know how to get a good looking chrome effect?

I want to change a plastic bumber to chrome, can anyone show me to a tutorial, or give me some tips?

there is a chrom filter in PS

but that chrome looks like shit it doesn't look real at all.

I actualy tried that, but the result did not look good.
It ended up very dirty looking, what I need is the shinney effect you get in chrome, with a heavily distorted reflection and a very deep silver colour for the chrome itself.
Ill have another play and see what happens.
