hey,

all 3er models from that exact time period are E30's. all the 325i's put out 168 hp and 164 lb/ft torque.

the 325e's were fuel efficient (sp?) cars that put out a lil more then 120 hp and a nice 170 lb/ft torque.

there were two types of 318's available with different engines.

the mid 1980's models used the same engine from the E21 3er's. they put out about about 100 hp and and more the 130 lb/ft torque.

the '90 some model had a new engine that put out 136 hp and 127 lb/ft of torque.

of course these are all US only models. BMW always gives many more options to european buyers.

to my knowledge the 323 was not realeased in the united states. but i could be wrong.

i actually think that keeping E30's n/a is better then super or turbo charging it, especially considering the age of the vehicles, as well as the inherient mileage and use. . .
