Cruise doesn't work

I've searched the forum and found the brake lights being the most common problem resulting in cruise failure. Mine work fine, or should I open them up for further inspection?
My 2000 venture doesn't list a specific fuse for the cruise and I have no operators manual. Quite a few fellas have asked the question and recieved no reply to, which fuse is it? One guy said he it was #17 in his.......2001? My #17 is a relay.
If anyone has some ideas for me to check, please help me out. Thanks.

My schematics just label it as "Cruise". Have you checked the fusebox in the end of the dash on the passenger side?

Pardon me, don't know how I missed that clearly marked fuse that says "Cruise" on it. Unfortunately, it was fine and I still don't know why the cruise doesn't work. Thanks for the help though.

Thanks for the reply Lester, fortunately it is working??!! Driving along and decide to fiddle. I've driven many a chevy and this is quite unique to me. Once you turn on the cruise you have to immediately tap the decelerate button and it will engage. I've never seen that before and honestly have almost never used decelerate button in my 20 years of various chevy's owned. Thanks for all the posts though gentlemen, cheers!

You know, when I got my van someone had cut the wire harness off the end of the cable into the module and took the connector, I wired a new one and fiddled with it for a month and happened to hit the "wrong button" and it took, so I think mine is ackwards as well..... :-)
