My parents are on some comittee that Kay Malone (Karl Malones wife, he is also a very good jazz player) is on. They have had dinner at their place a few times.

If anybody cares or knows who Joe CLark is, he sat right in fornt of me at a Hockey game before.

My friend's aunt was taught in school by a Mr. Doane. She remembers when his class was suddenly cancelled 5 minutes into the class, because the school secretary informed Mr. Doane that he was now a father...father of Melanie Doane, now a quite famous Canadian musician...
3 of my cousins (brothers) all play hockey for a living, 2 are in the minors and one is still playing for Princeton (got in on a hockey scholarship). They've met tons and tons of NHL player and coaches. In fact, my aunt and uncle quite often have them over for dinner. I should go and visit when some of the NHLers are there...

I went to High School with the guy "Steve" from the Dell commercials.
He was the guy in our group who tagged along alot, but noone really wanted to hang out with him. He is different now though. Still can gets under my nerves like no other, but I like him now. Doesn't bitch like he used to. Get this one time we were driving to the mall, in my car, and I was smoking, and he started bitching about me smoking saying I was choking him, and he would occasionaly have a cigg. I flew off the handle, and chewed him out for that one. And get this now he smokes.
My grandfather played professional basketball, football, and baseball, but wasn't a stand out in any of them. He didn't play professional baseball and football for very long, but he quit basketball b/c everyone on his team knew that my grandmother had had my dads older brother before him(he was born while he was on the road). I don't know what baseball, or football team he played for, but he played basketball for the Minneapolis Lakers.

Melanie Doane sings "Waiting for the Tide", "Happy Homemaker", "Adam's Rib", some others. Those all came out in like '98, and were pretty popular, they showed them on Much music all the time, still do every once in a while. I wasn't really expecting you to recognize her, since she's not really your style of music....

I've met Kevin Johnson and Dan Majorle of the Phoenix Suns. I actually bumped right into Majorle when I was leaving Chili's one night...I wasn;t watching where I was going cuz I was trying to stuff my bill and card in my purse. A friend and her sister were waiting outside (they had a major crush on him) and after they saw me run into him they were screaming like banshees: "OMG! OMG! YOU TOUCHED HIM OMG!!!" Kevin Johnson used to frequent Coffee Plantation at the Biltmore.
As far as really knowin someone, former NY Giants player Phillipi Sparks. His wife used to work at my office and is best friends with one of my supervisors...so we see him quite a bit. He also attends my church :D

The one that goes on the ice and the team gets is a replica, because it's too risky for them to be foolin with the cup
btw it's just the top of the stanley cup, the actual cup :) that i have the picture with, that's the original cup of Lord Stanley :D

If I remember correctly his house used to be in the ghetto near University City, but now he's somewhere in the rich suburbia. As for why he'd roll down the window, I don't know. He didn't say anything, and my cousin and I just kinda stood there in awe for a second before we realized who he was. (And to think she'd seen him around before!!) It was more like one of those things where he was just pimpin it, and decided to make 2 white chica's stop dead in their tracks and stare :hehehe:
that's sweet.... does nelly have a house in that rich part of st louis??
so why'd he stop and roll down the window?
If I remember correctly his house used to be in the ghetto near University City, but now he's somewhere in the rich suburbia. As for why he'd roll down the window, I don't know. He didn't say anything, and my cousin and I just kinda stood there in awe for a second before we realized who he was. (And to think she'd seen him around before!!) It was more like one of those things where he was just pimpin it, and decided to make 2 white chica's stop dead in their tracks and stare :hehehe:

My uncle lives in nebraska but through charity golfing etc up there he met Tim Allen and the Zachery Ty Brian the oldest son from Home Improvement. Now he flies out there and stays at their houses and he stays with them or they stay in nebraksa sometimes.

Wow, lots of celebrity contact out there. I can't think of much.. my ex-girlfriend's good friend worked at a florist (near Chicago), and they once delivered some flowers to Michael Jordan's house. Oh, out in the Hamptons (east end of Long Island, which lies to the east of NYC, for those of you that don't know), lots of celebs go to hang out. I've eaten dinner with Duran Duran a couple tables away, my mom bought fish with Robert DeNiro next in line, and I actually served Billy Joel his chicken dinner when I worked in a restaurant out there in the summer of '98. And recently here in Hartford, the Wallflowers were chilling at a local restaurant when I went to dinner there.
Besides that, I know lots of locally famous people. My dad (the great Jay Berliner! :D ) won the Virtuoso award for best guitarist in NYC seven years in a row. They finally retired him from the running because he was dominating the field so overwhelmingly. The year they retired him, when some other guy won it, in his acceptance speech, he said that the award really belonged to my dad. And, my brother recently won the Austin City Open tournament (no, not golf, handball). So my brother (the great Adam Berliner! :D ) is now the Austin City champ of handball.
How's that for being friends with famous people?? :ylsuper

Yeah, but it ain't no $70 million house. HA! :D I've seen those houses.. they are fucking unbelievable. Modern-day castles is what they are. There's this particularly extravagant row of them down in South Hampton. Like I said, fucking unbelievable.
