Repair Manual and Rough Idle

I have a 2000 Intrigue GLS with about 160k on it. Ok, first the manual question. Who makes the best repair manual for this car? Haynes? Chiltons? Someone I haven't mentioned?
Second, this car runs fine except it idles a little rough at stop lights. Like when the car stops the engine starts sounding rough until you let off the brake and then it sounds fine. I don't have any idea what kind of maintenance to try to do on this car, but I've heard replacing the PCV valve could help, and I think it needs a tune-up, but I'm not sure what all is entailed in that. I'm an amateur grease monkey and would be willing to try the work myself if it isn't too risky. Any advice?

OK, so the PCV valve was probably the easiest repair job ever. That helped the idle issue a little bit. Also used Seafoam on it, which didn't really do what other people said it would. I changed the oil immediately after and noticed that it was pretty thin and runnyd, but I didn't really notice any significant difference in the idle problem. Still working on the spark plugs, but when I unbolted the coil packs from the block they were stuck on with something else. Is there some kind of gasket or anything holding it on? I didn't want to pry it but maybe I'll give it a try anyway.

It might not be your idle it could just be your exhaust rusting out. Then again if not I would deffinately try doing the spark plugs, air filter etc. and remember to tripple check your plug gap.

$35 sounds like a good deal. Shortly after I got my 2000 in 2002, I bought the real GM manuals through Helm for (I think) $120. I've never regretted buying them, either.
