Where in the World are you?

And I'm afraid that ordering a replacement from Tamiya is your best bet in this situation. I wish you good luck! :(

I'm sure Canadian mambers will be able to offer more help, but usually from the importer of Tamiya products to your country.

NO reason why you can't try ;) But IMO the results will be better with a replacement, and it could prove cheaper too. But by all means give it a go if you feel like it! Let us know of the process and the result as well (read: take pics pics pics!)

1 time I made one out of clear plastic packaging. The packagin I'm talking about is like something you would find a toy in or something else.

I was going to throw this thing away and the idea popped in my head. It came out satisfactory. :D

You know on some report covers, it is covered by a clear flexible plastic sheet? You could try cutting the pattern out from that and taping it to the car. :)

i just use clear lexan sheets. you just simply cut the size of the windshield and pace on. you could also make the effect of rolled down window with lexan.:D

Send me a PM with your name and adress. My neighbour, and best friend, has 2 Pug206 that he used for parts. I'll take one of his windshields and send it to you by airmail (No cost, my society will pay for shipping). :D

How do you bend the lexan ? If you heat the sheets they'll create a distorted view.

i suggest you just use the cracked windshield, glue it back together and tint it with a very dark car tint :)

I feel your pain! The part of a kit that is the most difficult to repair.

I agree with the others that your best option would be to go to Tamiya, inc. direct. Although I'm not Canadian, but when I order parts from Tamiya to the UK, it is cheaper that going through a supplier (e.g. HLJ). Also, Tamiya are more approachable than Hasegawa who do not deal with public parts requests.

umm...really you dont have too heat up the laxan. you just cut the size of the windshield bigger than normal, and then you just glue with the curvature of the windsheild from the inside:D

you could get them at your hobby store i think. laxan sheets are just like them molded 1/10 scale r/c car bodies that you see cear and painted over.;)
