The only CA glue that I have found not to fog is Testors Model Master brand in the white bottle. If you shake the bottle and apply the glue sparingly it will not fog. Never tried Tamiya's though. :)

PLease be careful with it. I have not used Tamiya superglue (actually, the only one I use now is Loctite Super Attack and I won't change it for anything... although Henkel's Moment is also good, but I'm not sure you can get it). Anyway, back to the point. I've never used superglue that did not leave "crap" as you call it on everything it comes in contact with. So use it sparingly (interestingly, the less you use the faster it dries and the better, sopposedly, the bond), and don't use it directly from the tube. Use a sharpened toothpic or similar, just to be on the safe side ;)

Good luck!

Avoid using cyanoacrylate on clear plastic. For clear plastic, use either 'clear plastic glue' (also known as model airplane window maker), or elmers clear blue school glue (works great! and cheap!).

my favorite
i use it on almost everything headlights being the main exception
the white crap you refer to is fogging and will usually occur because you use to much glue .stick to quallity brands though

Tamiya make a CA glue that the list as safe with clear parts, I am not able to give you an exact name on it right now or tell you more than that, you may find it on their website though or on an online model store?

It is always better to take the safest route though, just use some clear parts cement or white glue if you're uncertain.

Tamiya made 2 kind of CA glue, the regular one and the fog resistant one.

The regular one did leave some fogging if used in clear part althought not as bad as another brand .
