Backup Sensor stuck in off position. Any answers?

My 2006 F-150 reverse sensing system is stuck in the off position. Whether the truck is in park or reverse the off light still doesn't turn off. Does anyone have any answers?

there is a problem with the system. have seen a lot of sensor and connector problems. if the system sees a problem it defaulty to off to cover ford if you run over anybody!
