I am getting a P303 misfire on our 2003 Hyundai Tiburion. Put in new spark plugs and wires. Same error code. Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Eric

Welcome to the forum! Does your 2003 Tiburon have Coil on Plug (CoP) or a coil pack? If CoP, try swapping the #3 coil for one of the coils on another cylinder and see if the misfire follows the coil or stays on the cylinder. If it follows the coil, then you probably have a bad coil. If it stays on #3, then closely inspect the fuel injector connection and wiring. If that looks good, confirm you have good compression on #3 cylinder.

Thanks Rod. I will give that a try in the morning. Not sure what type of coil it has though. Is there an easy way to tell the difference?

Yeah, if you have no spark plug wires and a coil mounted directly on the plug, you have Coil on Plug. If you have spark plug wires going from a central coil pack to the spark plugs, you do not. I suppose since you said that you put in new spark plugs and wires you do not have CoP, but some people are just so used to saying "plugs and wires" that they don't necessarily realize they're saying that.

Okay switched 2 and 3 wires from the coil. Reset the codes and drove the car for few miles and same code appears P303 misfire on Cylinder 3.
Anything else I can try? Thanks again for your help.

First thing would be to check the injector; both to see if its firing, and then to see if its delivering the proper fuel. If those check out, do a compression test. If cyl 3 is low, time for a rebuild or just pull the bulb for the engine light :)
Low compression could be from bad/cracked rings, blown head gasket, or poorly sealing valve, but start with the easier stuff first.

Could I switch the injectors and see if the problem moves? What tools do I need to do a compression test?
Thanks for the help everyone. I hope I can get this fixed.

What tools do I need to do a compression test?
A compression tester..
