Why I hate Iran

WARNING: The following pictures shown are VERY graphic.

This is cruelty at the highest level in Iran which we have not been seeing. I'm only showing this because you're adults and I think you can handle it.

I must warn you some of them were 12 or 15 years old. Others were just innocent young ones not even a year or two old.

It will literally rip your heart out when you see this stuff.

Okay no pics, probably a good thing for those still eating dinner.

Personally, I do not hate Iran, but I hate the theocratic government. It is completely out-of-step with the wishes of the people and the general progress made in secular Iranian society.

According to The Economist the government does not have good control of their population, as we saw with last years riots. Those Iranian troops shooting into crowds of rioters? They were soldiers from poor rural villagers, poorly-educated and pretty brainwashed. The better-educated, urban soldiers apparently refused to fight and shoot the protesters. Imo this is a strong sign for the fundamental weakness of the government position. They now rule purely by fear and intimidation, which cannot last forever.

The real source for change in Iran for the better lies with the continuing education and secularization of the younger generations, especially women. Eventually, the theocratic government will become so old, decrepit and unpopular, it will crumble, and a new, better Iran will emerge.

I sincerely hope this happens before they do something really stupid, like nuke Israel.

Well, I was thinking more along these lines:

Agence France-Presse · Tuesday, Jul. 6, 2010

BRUSSELS — European Union foreign affairs chief Catherine Ashton urged Iran on Tuesday to stop the execution of three people including a woman who faces death by stoning for adultery.

Ashton said she was “deeply concerned” about reports that the executions of Mohammad Reza Haddadi, who was sentenced to hang for a murder he committed when he was a minor, and the woman, Sakineh Mohammadi-Ashtiani, “may be imminent.”

She also renewed her call for Iran to drop the death sentence against Zeynab Jalalian, a Kurd who awaits execution for being an “enemy of God.”

“I call on Iran to halt these executions and convert the sentences,” Ashton said in a statement.

She called death by stoning “a particularly cruel method of execution which amounts to torture.”

The sentences against Haddadi and Mohammadi-Ashtiani are in “clear violation” of Iran’s international obligations under the International Covenant for Civil and Political Rights and the Convention on the Rights of the Child.

Ashton urged Iran to consider a moratorium on executions.

Iran says the death penalty is essential to maintain public security and is applied only after exhaustive judicial proceedings.

Murder, rape, armed robbery, drug trafficking and adultery are all punishable by death in Iran.

I don't think so. Extremists are fueled by limp-wristed-mamby-pamby-idiots who coddle them into thinking its okay to be anti-civilization and anti what is right as opposed to what is wrong.

please explain how an image indicating your desire to bomb their nations out of existance not fuel for the extremists?
also please explain how it differs from what the extremists want to do to you?

I don't feel the urge to explain anything to anyone who refuses to comprehend anything that simple. Just stay on your side of the pond and you remain blissfully content.

Atleast, unfortunately, we don't actually go through with such harsh bombings like they would be more than happy to do to any westernized country.
