Apologies if this isn't kosher, but I'm hoping I can clarify the question:
The 2.0L oil dipstick goes thru a plastic tube that necks down to a metal fitting which goes into the engine. The metal tube looks like a press fitting but I don't know if it comes out or not?? My plastic tube disintegrated inside the metal tube, and there are plastic pieces stuck at the base of the metal tube.
Can the metal portion of the oil dipstick tube be removed, and how??
It's a 2.0L GLS, 4AT w/ 80K.
