ls lincoln

something is going on with my lincoln ls.
making funny noisy"s. its making loud noisy"s when i have it in drive period. you can hear me coming from down the road blocks away.
E light is on and ive taking it to the Ford Dealership, and they can not
figure out the problem at all. warranty has its deadline around the corner. they kept it for a month too, and still no answer. ---------------------
ive heard others complain about
there solenoid going out. 4th and 5th gear solenoids having to go
out, and needing to be replaced. maybe that is the problem with mine?
to narrow it down its been going on for a good while and i have had
the oil change in it many times. still same problem.
if it cost several bills to replace solenoid then so be it.
but if the loud noise continues? then what could be the problem.

You're going to need to provide a better description of the noise for anyone to help you. Is the noise a squeal, a rattle, a clunk, etc.? Does the noise change with engine or vehicle speed? What did the dealer do over the month that they kept the car? I find it very hard to believe that the dealership could not come up with the source of the noise in a month, especially if it's so loud that people can hear you coming. My local dealer had a Lincoln field service engineer come out to ride along with me for a noise in my LS under warranty after the first trip to the dealer for the issue.

The better the description you can provide to us over the Internet, the better chance we'll have of being able to offer useful suggestions. If you can get some video with decent audio of the noise that will help even more.
